PHL embassy warns Filipino community on using fraudulent documents

Citing reports of a number of fraudulent documents being circulated and used, the Philippine Embassy in Thailand on Wednesday has reminded the Filipinos and the general public on using false docs.

Documents should be authenticated by competent Philippine or Thai authorities before submitting them to the Embassy for legalization and other purposes, said on the announcement posted on the Embassy website.

Documents issued in the Philippines that must first be duly certified by competent Philippine government agencies and authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs:

  • birth certificate
  • marriage contract
  • certificate of no marriage (CENOMAR)
  • diploma
  • certificate of graduation
  • transcript of records

Documents issued in Thailand that must first be duly certified by competent Thai government agencies and authenticated by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

  • work contract
  • export documents
  • birth certificate
  • marriage contract
  • diploma
  • certificate of graduation
  • transcript of records
