PHL’s Dauntless Republic ranks 4th in Thailand int’l dance competition

One of the Philippines’ dance groups ranked fourth out of seventeen competing teams at the Seacon Street Int’l Challenge: The Princess Cup held at Seacon Square in Srinakarin, Bangkok from September 8-11, 2016.

Dauntless Republic garnered 77.95 points and that made them land on the fourth spot. Only the top three teams received a trophy each and cash prizes of 100,000 THB (1st), 70,000 THB (2nd) and 50,000 THB (3rd). Malaysia was declared champion, Thailand notched the second place while South Korea got third place.

The two other Filipino dance groups, MAD Rush and Monism ranked 12th and 14th respectively.

Dauntless Republic and Monism are now back in the Philippines while MAD Rush will be staying in the kingdom until September 16. The group’s accommodation is being sponsored by Myra Smith at Winning Tower. Community members led by Jane Cabaya, Aiza Damasco, Mari Joy Johnson, Jeffchard Ballesteros, Mac Mac Menguita Oreiro and many other anonymous donors have contributed for their food.
