China weighs in potential crisis in the South China Sea

China weighs in their concern over North Korea’s launching of 4 missiles in the sea northwest of Japan’s coast on Monday, March 6, 2017.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that these tests are causing more tension describing it as “accelerating train coming toward each other”. China, a close ally of North Korea, suggests that North Korea should suspend all its nuclear and missile activities afterwhich US and South Korea also suspending its large-scale military drills. This suggested strategy might cause all sides back to negotiating talks.

The United Nations (UN) has already called out the secretive nation after continuously defying international laws.

These comments came after the US military started deploying Terminal High Altitude Defense (THAAD) anti-missile system in South Korea.
