December 9, 2018 is a historic event for Filipinos in Thailand as it culminates the first ever DeeMoney Cup, a multisport tournament organized by DeeMoney for Filipino expats in the Land of Smile.
DeeMoney is a money transfer company that uses a mobile app, a first in Thailand, enabling its customers to send money to their home countries with the convenience of using only the smartphones.
The championship day was filled with remarkable excitement as expected, a promising adrenalin dash and escape from monotonous routine life of most Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Thailand.
Attended by approximately a thousand Filipinos living in Bangkok and nearby provinces, the Ramkhamhaeng University Sports Complex roared with shouting and loud cheers from morning until late in the evening.
Below are some photos of the sport events from that extraordinary day.
And finally, the basketball championship game.
Mabuhay ang nagkakaisang Filipinos sa Thailand! Hanggang sa muli po.
