Filipino comedian wows Jokenation in France

A hilarious video of a Bangkok-based Filipino comedian performing a stunt has been selected by Jokenation Montreux Comedy to compete on its website against comedians around the world.

On its website, jokenation.com described Apolinario “Pule” Mapacpac as an experienced theater actor, director and playwright. Pule was also cited for winning Signal Flair’s Clash of the Comedians competition early this year.

Apolinario Mapacpac is from Mindoro, Philippines. He is currently teaching Drama and Speech in Bangkok. With more than 10 ten years of experience in theater as an actor, director and playwright, he started doing stand-up comedy in February this year.

In his Facebook account, Pule asked for support from Filipinos around the world.

“To all my Facebook friends and to all the people who love comedy, my video has been selected to compete in Jokenation Montreux Comedy. I need all your support. Let’s make the world a happier place to live in. Click on the link below, click VOTE on my video, share it with your friends and ask them to VOTE for me too. Voting is until October 9 only. I want to represent the Philippines and Bangkok. Thank you very much!”

The winner will have the chance to perform in Dubai, New York, and Berlin.
