Grand Palace will be closed on December 1-2 and 5-6 for royal ceremonies, announced Bureau of the Royal Household.
Royal Merit Making ceremonies will take place on December 1-2 to mark the first 50 days since the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. There will be no access for tourists or mourners wishing to pay tribute to the Royal Remains as selling of tickets for tourists will be temporarily suspended as well.
Another Royal Merit Making ceremony will be held on December 5-6 which marks the King’s birthday. Meanwhile, visitors wishing to pay their respects to His Majesty can still do so at the Dusit Maha Prasart Throne Hall in the Grand Palace, said in a media release posted on the Tourism Authority of Thailand website.
