Travellers from Pattaya to Hua Hin may now opt to use a new mode of transportation which was recently opened on February 12, 2017.
The new ferry service, named Royal-1, crosses the 113-kilometer area of the Gulf of Thailand from Khao Takiab Pier in Hua Hin to Pattaya within 2 hours, way shorter than the usual 5-hour drive.
The Royal-1 can carry 286 economy seats, 44 business class seats and 2 VIP rooms with 8 seats available in each room, all priced from 1,250 baht and above. Prices for business class seats and VIP room seats are yet to be discussed. However, Royal-1 is currently selling its economy tickets at 999 baht for the month of February.
Royal-1 was supposed to open last month but was delayed due to bad weather conditions.
