It was an energetic and jam-packed evening as Pullman Hotels and Resorts – Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit presents Josh Roxas with his live art demonstration, COLORED CITIES – a direct attempt to capture the lively city craze on canvas is Josh’s first one-man show of the year, last February 25, 2017.
Josh is a multi-awarded winning Filipino artist who is based in Bangkok. He has dedicated himself to the modern art with specialties in the unique original painting, assemblage, oil and acrylic painting. His works has been exhibited at many key places in Thailand specifically in Bangkok and Phuket. Josh strongly believes that art is something we want others to see and feel – art is life and life is art.
The live entertainment and showcase was opened by Josh welcoming all guests that evening. Josh definitely was overwhelmed by the love and support showed with that night’s turnout. Colored Cities also had performances from Inblu, a LED lights show performer, followed by a live painting demonstration led by Josh himself and other artists. The show capped off with a lucky draw to the guests who were present that night.
In an e-mail exchange with Pullman’s PR and Marketing Manager, Teerawan Tunchareon attributes the event to the hotel’s philosophy of “Our World is Your Playground” where it is not just simply a place to sleep, dine and plug in. She continues that the creation of “Artists Playground by Pullman” in collaboration with Josh Roxas is to provide the global nomad for its guests by transforming its halls into an interactive and engagement area with local culture and people through different types of art.
Catch Josh Roxas in Terra-cotta Gardens in Chiang Mai on March 14. Dusit Thani Hotel in Silom, Bangkok on March 18 and in rendezvous, Phuket Town on March 24.
