As people in the kingdom continue to mourn and with the forthcoming royal cremation ceremony, entertainment in the kingdom will be toned down and a number of establishments and services will close on October 26.
Several malls, supermarket and stores will close. Makro will close from 3pm Oct. 26. It will open as usual at 6am Oct. 27. All 7-Eleven stores nationwide will close from 2:30pm of Oct. 26 through midnight. All branches of supermarket Tesco Lotus nationwide will be closed from 2pm on Oct. 26 and reopen as usual on Oct. 27. Isetan, the Japanese department store in CentralWorld, will close all day on Oct. 26.
CentralPlaza and CentralFestival nationwide, except CentralWorld and CentralPlaza Rama II, will be closed from 3pm on Oct. 26. One of the country’s largest mall operators The Mall will be closed from 3pm Oct. 26. Index Living Mall and Index Smart Furniture Center will be closed from 2pm Oct. 26. Major Cineplex will close all of its 119 branches nationwide on Oct. 26. The country’s largest movie theater chain will reopen normally on Oct. 27.
Services like post office and banks will also close. All branches of Thailand Post nationwide will be closed on Oct. 26. All B-Quik auto service branches will be closed from 2pm on Oct. 26 to 8am on Oct. 27. Moreover, all branches of Krung Thai Bank, TMB Bank, Siam Commercial Bank, Kasikorn Bank, Bank of Ayudhya, Tisco Bank, Land and Houses Bank and United Overseas Bank nationwide will be closed on Oct. 26.
