A total of 10,298 have been recorded in Thailand since the first coronavirus case was reported last year.
Of Thailand’s 10,298 cases, 8,157 were found locally. Of that, 2,791 cases were found via pro-active screening.
Of the 2,141 imported cases, 1,594 were found inside quarantine facilities, with the remainder including people who illegally entered the country.
Eight hundred and eighty-two people have recovered in the past 24 hours, this brings the total of confirmed recoveries to 6,428 people while 3,803 people are still being treated.
Clusters and provinces
Of the 181 were found in the general population in the past 24 hours, the highest numbers were found in Samut Sakhon (50), Chonburi (39), Samut Prakan (19), Bangkok (16), Rayong (15), Lopburi (8), Pathumthani (7), Chanthaburi (6) and Chiang Mai (5).
Of the 43 cases that were found via pro-active screening, 23 were found in Samut Sakhon, the remaining were found in Chonburi (10), Bangkok (6) and Samut Prakan (4).
The second wave of outbreak, which began in Samut Sakhon on December 18, has now spread to 58 provinces.
