An unnamed university lecturer from Udon Thani is in hot water after explicit images and videos were discovered by students and parents, which were sold on a secret online group. The lecturer, who has denied such allegations, previously has a history of misconduct involving motorcycle theft.
In a Thaiger article, the lecturer, who is a doctor at a university in Udon Thani, used an online hosting platform to sell his pornographic materials. Due to the disturbing discovery, students compiled evidence to file a formal complaint with the university administration.
The news article furthers that the issue was already reported to the central administration on January 30. The lecturer was called in to explain twice; first concerning the motorcycle theft, which the lecturer agreed to compensate, and second for the sexually inappropriate behaviour. The explicit content, which was allegedly filmed inside the university’s faculty room, clearly constitutes a clear violation of the teacher’s code of conduct.
The said lecturer joined the university in 2019 and has been working in the Faculty of Liberal Arts, under the technology department.
Colleagues describe the lecturer as “seeming depressed, often isolating himself despite efforts to involve him in activities.” While co-teachers know that he is married, he is only seen with his wife twice around New Year, for the finalization of their divorce.
Other news outfits are trying to contact the lecturer but to no avail. Other students have long been aware of the lecturer’s behaviour noting his tendency to “remain indoors during the day and only venture out at night” which has left many shocked and concerned.
