UPDATE: Complete translation of the CAAT order published on the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) website.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) is asking airlines to check medical certificates of travelers from high risk countries before they issue a boarding pass and be allowed to board and travel to Thailand, said Thai media Matichon.
The order was announced on Sunday evening, March 8. One of the clauses says that passengers from the local communicable disease area must have “medical certificate” confirming that they are not infected by COVID-19. Airlines can only issue the boarding pass after the passengers have showed their medical certificates.
The Philippines is not in Thailand’s list of high risk countries. However, airline staff may ask for a medical certificate depending on the airline.
This applies to both Thais and foreigners.
Here is the signed order published on Matichon last night.
