The public lecture on “Sexism in the Filipino Language” scheduled on March 12, 2020 at Chulalongkorn University has been cancelled.
“On behalf of the organisers, I would like to inform you and ask you to kindly inform your readers that we are required to cancel our talk in compliance to Chulalongkorn University’s Protective Measures Against the Spread of COVID-19. We hope to reschedule the talk as soon as possible,” said in a message relayed by the organizers to PinoyThaiyo.
The country’s premier university has either cancelled or postponed “invitations to overseas guests to participate in academic activities, conferences, seminars or any other activities concerning the University between 20 February 2020 and 19 April 2020”.
