BANGKOK, Thailand — CIMB Thai Bank through its SpeedSend Support Team has once again reaffirmed its commitment to help the Filipino community in Thailand in a meeting top bank officials dubbed as “Get Together Dinner” held with Filipino groups on Thursday evening, May 28 at Major Ekamai.
In the meeting which was hosted by CIMB’s Channel Management and Free Based Products managers and marketing staff, Mr. Lawt Aung reiterated CIMB’s continued support to Filipino projects in the country such as sponsoring sports tournaments and other humanitarian activities. Mr. Aung is the manager for Expat Segment Marketing and Promoter Management which oversees SpeedSend, the bank’s international money transfer program.
Those who were invited at the meeting were Dr. Ismael Naypa, Director for International Department of Yanhee Hospital and the owner of North-Bangkok Filipino Basketball League (NFBL), Mr. Jezreel Llanera, President of the Adventist Youth Association (AYA) and other officers from two respective organizations.
Last year, CIMB Thai Bank became the major sponsor of the 1st AYA Sports Fellowship and Fundraising Activity in Bangkok and NFBL Season 1 which was held in Nonthaburi Province. The said events were some of the biggest sports tournaments organized by Filipinos in Thailand.
Other CIMB Thai officials present at the meeting were Mr. Prasert Wanuyarak, Channel Management and Free Based Manager, and other members of SpeedSend Support Team.
The said dinner meeting which lasted for almost four hours was very cordial and friendly in nature.
