Residents of La Verti Residences, a condominium complex in Pasay City, gathered on their balconies and simultaneously applauded the health workers of the adjacent hospital, Adventist Medical Center (AMCM) to show gratitude to the frontliners of the fight against COVID-19.
Hospital staff answered with “Salamat.”
According to Ivan Solis, a former post graduate medical intern at Adventist Medical Center-Manila, the whole scenario lasted for about 12 minutes at around 6PM Wednesday, April 1.
AMCM is a hospital owned and managed by Seventh-day Adventist Church. It also runs an educational institution, Manila Adventist College more popularly known as Manila Sanitarium and Hospital. A number of Adventist OFWs in Thailand graduated from MAC.
The story was picked up by several major media networks in the Philippines.
Maraming salamat po, La Verti Residences for your collective effort to appreciate the hard work and sacrifices of all frontliners, said AMCM on its Facebook page.
