The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has confirmed that another Filipino has been identified to be a casualty in the March 28 7.7 quake that hit Mandalay in Myanmar.
Through the Philippine Embassy in Yangon, the family has been informed and has requested the media to respect their privacy in this very difficult time.
“Out of respect for the wishes of the family, the Department is unable to provide any further details”, the post continues.
In the last report, there were 4 Filipinos reported missing in the quake, with most at the Sky Villa condominium in Mandalay. The embassy in Yangon “hope for the best for the remaining two Filipinos still unaccounted for”.
