El Pamana recipe is a third generation recipe from one of the owners’ Filipina mother, Mrs Shirley Jimenez Boonpongsa who owns Mom’s Catering Service in Manila since 1978. Its lechon manok and pork liempo are specially roasted under fire.
The store is owned by a Thai-Filipino businessman and his friends who fell in love with Filipino food while they were visiting the Philippines. The first branch which is still on its soft opening is located at Sukhumvit soi 71, Pridi Banomyong soi 42, a home to many Filipinos in Bangkok.
