Embassy invites Filipinos to a lecture-demonstration on Philippine music

The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok is inviting the Filipino community to a lecture-demonstration about Philippine music on July 9, Tuesday, 3:30-5:30 PM at the Embassy Conference Room.

The Philippine Embassy would like to invite the Filipino community and interested  parties to attend a Lecture- Demonstration on “Song and Nationalistic Fervor: The Philippine Experience to the Present,” to be delivered by Professor Pedro R. Abraham, Professor of Art Studies and founder/ artistic director of the Kontemporaryong Gamelan Pilipino (UP Kontra-GaPi), resident ethnic music and dance ensemble of the College of Arts and Letters, University of the Philippines, Diliman.

The programme will also include a 30-40 minute performance by the UP Kontra-GaPi.

Venue is the Philippine Embassy Conference Room.

Due to limited space, the Embassy can only accommodate the first thirty (30) registrants.
