An exciting and entertaining volleyball tournament was organized by the Filipino Alliance in Rayong Thailand (FARTH) in its 13th Volleyball Tournament Season, held from February 3 – March 17, 6:00-9:00 pm, at the Anuban Taksin Rayong International School.
Volleyball fans and friends joined in to witness the elimination games which were done throughout the scheduled days, as different teams battled it out to be the ultimate hard court champions. There were two divisions, the Men and Women’s division.
The men’s division was filled with high jumps and strong spikes but only 1 team hailed as champion. ARIBA championed the men’s division, followed by Lucky MM, RAIC Warriors, Vision Keepers and Unstoppable who made their way being first, second, third and fourth runner-ups, respectively.
The women’s division did not disappoint as well, as they delivered an equally exciting match. Team “D’Wildcatz” brought home the coveted championship title, followed by RAIC as first runner-up winner. Team “Vision Keepers” and Unstoppable went home with second and third runner-ups, respectively.
Both divisions won cash prizes. The first prize brought home 5,000THB, second won 3,000THB, third was a whopping 2,000THB and fourth place was still a fair prized 500THB. Special prizes were given to the best uniform and both ARIBA and D’ Wildcatz won 1,000THB.
St. Robert Group of Companies was the major sponsor of this year’s volleyball tournament.
Special thanks to FARTH officers who coordinated the event.
