Three major Filipino events were held simultaneously on Sunday, August 20.
The day started with the School Supply Drive Fun Run organized by the Adventist Youth Association (AYA). At least 1,000 runners many of whom were Filipinos supported the marathon which was also a fundraising campaign. The event started as early as 4:30 a.m. for the onsite registration. It ended at around 8:00 o’clock.
Meanwhile, the 2nd OFW Friendship Games started at 8:00 am and some of Filipino sports enthusiasts in Thailand unleashed their energy by playing ball games. Some of the players even came from the province just to join the event. Basketball and volleyball fans cheered for their favorite teams. The event was organized by OFW QuickervANTS United 4 DU30.
At another event, North-Bangkok Filipino Basketball League (NFTBL) Season 5 Championship was also held in Ramkhamhaeng on Sunday. The game started at 9:00 o’clock. Dr. Ismael Naypa, a director at Yanhee International Hospital founded NFTBL.
