A Filipina fell victim into a pickpocket while travelling on a bus on Tuesday around 7:30 in the evening.
Dolly Solon, 24, was riding on bus number 23 from Pridi Banomyong to Bearing when the incident happened. Her handbag was slashed and her wallet which contained her passport and some cash were stolen. The victim had noticed the incident when she arrived home.
“Hndi niya namalayan nilaslas bag nya.. oo pagnanakaw talaga ang nangyari kasi nasa sling bag na pasport size yong pasport naka lagay tapos nilagay din sa loob nang bag kaya yon dala lahat,” said her cousin Sheila Libra.
“Buti nalang iniwan nya ATM ko kasi lastnyt ng dinner kami nilagay ko don sa wallet nya na yon atm ko buti iniwan nya kanina umaga, Libra added.
Both Solon and Libra are appealing to the pickpocketer to at least return the passport. The two will also report the incident to the police on Wednesday. They will also apply for a new passport at the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok if the passport is not returned.
Solon is barely four months in Thailand. She used to work in Dubai before coming here.
