Filipina store owner in Singapore fined $30K for selling unregistered health products

In a report by Strait Times on April 11, Valdez Ana Rubirosa Manalo, 47 years old and an owner of a store in Lucky Plaza Mall in Singapore was found to be illegally selling unregistered products such as contraceptives, painkiller, and antibiotics. She was required to pay the fine of 30,000 SGD or be jailed for 12 weeks.

Manalo owns the Cabalen Grocery at the fourth floor of the Lucky Plaza Mall. Earlier, she was also fined $4,000 for violating the Poisons Act for selling products used to treat skin diseases.
