Filipino runners are dominating Asia’s largest destination marathon with five runners from the Philippines having notched the Top 5 of the 42km full marathon in both men and women’s divisions at the 11th Laguna Phuket International Marathon, June 5, 2016.
Lany Cardona who hails from Bolinao, Pangasinan successfully defended the 42km full marathon title in the women’s division with the total running time of 3:23:00.0.
Another Filipina runner April Rose Diaz ranked 4th in the same division with the running time of 03:35:21.6.
Meanwhile, three Filipinos are in the top 5 in the men’s division. Mario Maglinao ranks 3rd; Eugene Postrado, 4th; and Argel Joseph Mendoza ranks 5th.
Considered as Asia’s largest destination marathon , more than 8,000 runners from around the world joined the two-day race and fun.
