The Lelux Hospital in Bangkok has caused quite a stir online worldwide after it had released pictures of a client undergoing “groin whitening procedure.” For a price of 650 USD (approx. 20,900 baht) for 5 sessions, men can now have a whiter private area.
The said clinic had drawn over 100 men a month for this whitening service. According to Dunthita Wattanasiri, a manager at the Lelux Hospital under the Skin and Laser department, this unusual treatment came about after a certain customer, complained about having a dark private area, adding that most of their customers are aged between 22-55 years old, many of whom are from the LGBTQ community.
The same clinic also caused a bit of controversy last year. In a Rappler report, the clinic had an unusual beautification treatment called “3D Vagina”, where a customer’s own body fat will be used to make the genitalia more “plump”.
