For the very first time, Filipino media and vloggers in Thailand gathered together in one room for the Vloggers Meet-up on Sunday, December 13 at Viva Filipinas, Bangkok.
62 Pinoy vloggers registered, most of them are active Youtubers with monetized channels and thousands of subscribers and social media, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and Tiktok followers. 2 foreign vloggers also joined the event.
4 vloggers flew from Phuket and Surat Thani to participate in the meet-up. Others were from Chonburi, Pathumthani, Bangkok and other provinces.
The event was graced by H.E. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, former Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Kingdom of Thailand and Chairperson of the Board of Kasikorn Bank. Consul Michael Lyndon Garcia of the Philippine Embassy also delivered opening remarks. Another guest included successful Filipino entrepreneur Zenaida Vannaying who welcomed the guests and participants at the venue in her hotel.
The event was supported by Rico Mariano of the Department of Trade and Industry and Nattawadee Riyakul of the Department of Tourism (DOT) Bangkok Office.
The Filipino Channel (TFC) also provided entertainment by featuring BINI, P-Pop’s newest rookie girl group in the Philippines.
Along with TFC, Kumu executives also provided a talk on how vloggers can create their own social TV. Kumu is a pinoy community platform where you can livestream, play live games, and participate in various promotions run on Kumu.
The event was organized by PinoyThaiyo and supported by several Thailand-based Filipino companies.
