The Japanese Government has started accepting applications for assistant language teaching positions through the 2020 Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET).
This year, 5,761 from 57 countries have already been accepted. Of these, 52 were from the Philippines. Successful applicants will be assigned in schools both public and private. Those hired are tasked to assist in classes led by Japanese teachers.
Any Filipino citizen holding a Bachelor’s degree or higher may apply. They must be physically and mentally fit to work abroad and possesses excellent oral and written English ability. Applications must be submitted in person or via courier on November 29, 2019 to Japan Information and Culture Center Embassy of Japan in the Philippines.
