In 2021, the date for the Chinese New Year in Thailand is on Friday, February 12. The day of the Chinese new year varies each year depending on the Chinese Lunar calendar. It generally falls in the month of January or February.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has cancelled Chinese New Year celebrations in Yaowarat, the city’s Chinatown, this month, citing Covid-19 worries.
