New COVID variant discovered in France

A new COVID 19 strain was detected in France.

In an Abante TNT report, there are now 4 cases of the new COVID variant NB.1.8.1 which was discovered in one of France’s municipalities, said Virologist Bruno Lina.

The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control has reported other NB.1.8.1 cases were detected in Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain and Sweden.

Earlier this week, there has been a reemergence of COVID in nearby Asian countries including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand.
