OFW from Mindoro suffers cardiac arrest in Bangkok, needs help

An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Oriental Mindoro suffered a cardiac arrest on January 9 while she was on the way to work in Bangkok.

Mrs Edna Panganiban Mingi, 57, has been working as a teacher in Thailand for more than 10 years. She was a former Math teacher at Leuteboro National High School in Socorro.

According to one of her co-teachers, it was the first day of class when the incident happened. Almost half a million baht was already spent to pay for her hospital bills during her first operation. Assistance from Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is still being processed.

Meanwhile, Mrs Edna needs another approximately 470,000 baht for her second operation scheduled on February 18. Her family, friends and former students are asking for financial assistance for their beloved teacher. You can send any amount to the account number below.
