Around 100 Filipinos and 1 Thai attended the 13th year anniversary of Omnoi Seventh-day Adventist International Church on September 12-13 in Hua Hin, Prachuap Kirikhan.
The church which was founded by Filipino teachers in 2007 now has around 100 Filipino members many of whom include families and their children. The church also has some Thai members. While Omnoi is part of Nakhon Pathom Province, it is just around 5 minutes from Nongkaem District of Thailand’s capital Bangkok.
OIC’s two-day fellowship was highlighted by Sabbath worship and baptism of five teenagers, some of whom are born in Thailand. A commitment program and reminiscing of the church’s 13-year history were also conducted in the afternoon. Social gathering filled the venue with laughters as participants played pinoy fun games and group presentations.
There were also birthday celebrations for Pastor David Rafael, one of the church’s pioneers and another member. Pinoy foods were prepared and served by the members.
