Applications of a number of Thailand-based OFWs who applied for DOLE-AKAP 200USD financial assistance have been approved.
Emails were sent out on Saturday, June 6. The only problem right now is the bank account where the money can be sent. OWWA is asking for a Malaysian bank account for the money transfer.
On May 22, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Malaysia through the Philippine in Bangkok issued an advisory on the submission of applications for OFWs affected by COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand. Then on May 27 the application was closed after receiving 350 applications from Thailand.
PinoyThaiyo is seeking information on how OFWs can receive their one-time financial assistance in Thailand.

Ikinalulugod po naming ipaalam sa inyo na ang application ninyo para sa financial assistance (US$200 o MYR 840.72) sa ilalim ng programang DOLE – AKAP ay amin nang inaprubahan.
Mangyari po lamang na pakibigay sa amin ang mga bank details ng Malaysian account ninyo sa pamamagitan ng pagsagot sa email na ito, o private message sa Facebook ng POLO KL. Pakilagay po ang kumpletong pangalan na ginamit ninyo sa inyong bank account.
Kung sakali man pong wala kayong bank account dito sa Malaysia, mangyari po lamang na mag-reply sa email na ito upang i-request na i-transfer ang inyong one-time financial assistance sa iba. Kaugnay nito, paki-indicate po ang mga sumusunod na detalye sa inyong request:
1) Buong pangalan ng OFW –
2) Pangalan at bank account number ng taong nais ninyong tumanggap ng financial assistance para sa inyo
3) Kopya ng IC o passport at mobile number ng taong tatanggap para sa inyo
