PE Bangkok posts update on Filipino repatriation efforts in Myanmar, Thailand

The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, together with its counterparts in Myanmar, have post a joint statement on issues concerning Filipinos trapped in disputes and chaos along border areas between Myanmar and Thailand.

In a statement, both Philippine embassies in Thailand and Myanmar welcome the “positive developments achieved through relentless efforts by the Philippine government in coordinating and cooperating with relevant authorities”. That repatriation efforts are done at the earliest possible opportunity “while abiding by the rules and regulations established by the Royal Thai Authorities”.

The embassy asks for “patience and cooperation of all relevant stakeholders” as efforts from the Philippine government continue “to ensure the safe and orderly repatriation of all Filipinos in distress”.

This statement comes after efforts and raids from the Thai government combating transnational crimes like scam centers and human trafficking. If you are a Filipino in distress or in need of assistance from the Philippine Embassy in Thailand, you may contact them through the following numbers.
