Philippines has 14 new COVID-19 cases in one day, total of 24

President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday said there are four more new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Philippines, bringing the total to 24.

Duterte made the announcement following his meeting with members of an inter-agency task force on COVID-19.

The new cases are from San Juan City, Quezon City, and Bulacan.

Prior to the President’s announcement, the Department of Health announced a total of 20 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country.

The DOH has yet to reveal details about the four new cases.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said the government will disclose more details about the new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.
