Filipino community leaders in Thailand received an email update with regards to the President’s visit in Thailand this March 22, 2017. In an email sent by Vice Consul Jim Minglana to the group leaders, it addressed the following matters: registration update, marshals and proposed entertainment.
As of 5:30pm of March 8, a total of 1,390 names were listed in the online registration, including the list given by the Filipino community leaders. All names sent are already granted entry to the venue as it can hold 2,000 people. Online registration is still on going as of posting. After the registration closes, the embassy will then finalize the list and email confirmation will be sent to all applicants.
The said email also discussed the need of the Office of the President of 20 marshals for the event. More than 200 expressed their interest to join and these applicants will still be sorted out. They will be contacted by the embassy soon after.
Finally, since the program proper will still start at 7:00pm onwards, the embassy is seeking for Filipino performers to entertain the guests from 4:00-5:30pm. Interested individuals or groups could contact the embassy if they wish to join the said line up.

Registration update
Thank you for providing the Embassy with all the names of your members who will be coming to the event.
As of 5:30 PM today 8 March 2017, a total of 1,390 names were received by the Embassy from the list you provided as well as from online registration.
All these names are guaranteed entry to the event which is capable of holding up to 2,000 attendees.
This means there are still available slots for more attendees. There are two more days before we close the registration. We have announced the final call for registrants on Facebook.
If there are still interested Filipinos, please tell them to register online or to send to this email address their full names, passport number, telephone number and email addresses.
After the closing of the registration, we will finalize the master list of attendees and begin sending out guidelines for the event.
Marshals
We confirmed yesterday with the Office of the President that 20 marshals would be needed. More than 200 expressed interest in serving as marshals and we will provide further updates on this in the coming days.
Proposed entertainment prior to the arrival of the President
We were also informed that we could seek the help of the Filipino community in the entertainment of guests (from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm) prior to the arrival of the President at 7:00 pm.
Note that during the program proper with the President (7:00 pm onward), there will be no intermission number, but only the speech by the President.
