Filipina volleyball and Ateneo star Alyssa Valdez has signed up with a Thai volleyball club.
Valdez is set to join Thai volleyball club 3BB Nakornonnt starting in January, said ABS-CBN citing the club’s announcement through its Facebook. Valdez will play for the team in the second leg of the on-going Thailand League as well as the Thai-Denmark Super League.
“3BB Nakornonnt’s head coach, Sub. Lt. Thanakit Inleang is banking on Valdez’s attacking and defensive skills to bolster the team,” the news report added.
According to the Thailand Volleyball Twitter account, Valdez will likely play her first game with 3BB Nakornonnt on January 29 against King-Bangkok.
Valdez is also the very first Filipino Women’s Volleyball player who will be playing in an international professional club.
