The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to provide a summary of the entry and exit rules at each of the country’s 77 provinces, following the Royal Thai Government’s announcement on easing of the COVID-19 control measures in most areas nationwide as of 1 February, 2021.
This guideline summary should be used as reference only. Travellers are advised to recheck with local provincial authorities for specific requirements, which may change with the constantly evolving situation.

Controlled areas (20 provinces)
| Central Region (9 provinces) Ang Thong: Update info on entry/exit measures not available. Ayutthaya: Visitors from Bangkok, Chon Buri, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Rayong, and Samut Sakhon are required to register with the local contact tracing QR code, and enter a 14-day home quarantine or alternative local quarantine on their own expense. Visitors from Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi, Phetchaburi, Ratchaburi, Samut Prakan, Samut Songkhram, Saraburi, and Tak are to report to the local administration or public health office, and enter a 14-day home quarantine or alternative local quarantine on their own expense. Lop Buri: Update info on entry/exit measures not available. Nakhon Nayok: Visitors from Samut Sakhon who intend to stay more than 14 days are to report to the local administration or public health office, and must show official documents to prove their travel was necessary. They are also required to enter a 14-day home quarantine and take the DMHTT precautions. Visitors from Samut Sakhon for a day trip or who intend to stay less than 14 days are to report to the local administration or public health office, and must show official documents to prove their travel was necessary. Overnight visitors must avoid public places, and take the DMHTT precautions. In addition, accommodation establishments with guests from these four provinces must follow strict disease control measures. Visitors from Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to report to the local administration or public health office. Those who intend to say more than 14 days must enter a health screening system within 12 hours for further instructions by the local health authorities. Overnight (less than 14 days) and day-trip visitors must also undergo a health screening. All are required to take the DMHTT precautions. Visitors from the controlled and high surveillance areas are to report to the local administration and take DMHTT precautions (quarantine not required). Meanwhile, visitors from the surveillance areas are advised to take the DMHTT precautions. Residents who plan to go to Samut Sakhon are required to seek permission from the local administration or public health office and must show official documents to prove their travel was necessary. Nakhon Pathom: Visitors from Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to report to the local administration or public health office, and are required to complete an entry registration form as well as register with the Mor Chana contact tracing application. Samut Songkhram: Visitors from Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to report to the local administration or public health office. Entry or exit documents are not required. Saraburi: Visitors from Samut Sakhon are to report to the local public health office and register with the local contact tracing QR Code, enter a 14-day home quarantine, and take the DMHTT precautions. Visitors from Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to register with the local contact tracing by QR Code and enter a 14-day self-monitor. Overnight (less than 14 days) and day-trip visitors must also undergo a health screening. All visitors are required to take the DMHTT precautions. Sing Buri: Visitors from Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to report to the local administration or public health office or required to seek advance permission to enter and exit via to Sing Buri to Goonline form or scan QR Code. They are also required to enter a 14-day home quarantine, and take the DMHTT precautions. Suphan Buri: Visitors from Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to report to the local administration or public health office. Chanthaburi: Visitors from the maximum controlled, high controlled, controlled, and high surveillance areas are required to report to the local administration or public health office. Visitors from Samut Sakhon specifically must also show official documents to prove their travel was necessary. In addition, visitors from Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are required to register with the Mor Chana contact tracing application. High surveillance areas (17 provinces)
| Central Region (4 provinces) Chai Nat: Visitors are required to seek advance permission to enter and exit via the Chainat to Go online form. A medical certificate, issued no more than 72 hours with an RT-PCR laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected, is required from visitors from the maximum controlled areas (Samut Sakhon). Overnight visitors from Samut Sakhon as well as the high controlled areas (Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan) are required to enter a 14-day quarantine. Nakhon Sawan: Overnight visitors from the maximum controlled areas are required to register their visits at all locations, avoid public places, and take the DMHTT precautions. Returning residents from the maximum controlled areas are to report to the local administration or public health office, enter a 14-day home quarantine, and take the DMHTT precautions. Phetchabun: Visitors from Samut Sakhon must show official documents to prove their travel was necessary. They are to report to the local administration or public health office and enter a 14-day home quarantine, or alternative local quarantine on their own expense. Visitors from Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to report to the local administration or public health office and enter a 14-day quarantine, or alternative local quarantine on their own expense. In addition, accommodation establishments with guests from these four provinces must follow strict disease control measures. Uthai Thani: Visitors from Samut Sakhon are to report to the local administration or public health office, and must show a medical certificate, issued no more than 72 hours with an RT-PCR laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected. | Northern Region (2 provinces) Kamphaeng Phet: Update info on entry/exit measures not available. Sukhothai: Visitors from Samut Sakhon are required to enter a 14-day home quarantine. Exceptions are made for public health officials, freight forwarders, and public transport drivers. | Northeastern Region (3 provinces) Buri Ram: Visitors are required to complete both the T. 8 health screening from and the AOT Healthy Passport contact tracing application. Visitors from Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan must also show a medical certificate, issued no more than 72 hours with an RT-PCR laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected. They are also required to enter a 14-day quarantine. Domestic flight passengers from the controlled, high surveillance, and surveillance areas who transit in Bangkok are not required to enter a quarantine. Without the required documents, they must enter quarantine (14 days or throughout the duration of visit). Visitors from Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are required to complete a questionnaire to determine their health level of risk. Those from districts with new COVID-19 cases in the last 7 days must enter a 14-day quarantine. Visitors from the controlled and high surveillance areas are to report to the local administration and take DMHTT precautions (quarantine not required). Meanwhile, visitors from the surveillance areas are advised to take the DMHTT precautions. Ranong: All visitors are required to register their visit via the Ranong Chana contract tracing application, and take DMHTT precautions. Visitors from Samut Sakhon are to report to the local administration or public health office, and must show a medical certificate, issued no more than 72 hours with an RT-PCR laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected. They are also required to enter a 14-day quarantine. Visitors from Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to report to the local administration or public health office, to observe their health for 14 days (self-monitoring). Surat Thani: Returning residents from Samut Sakhon are to report to the local public health office, and enter a 14-day home quarantine. Returning residents from Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to report to the local public health office, enter a 14-day self-isolation, and take the DMHTT precautions. Returning residents from the controlled areas (20 provinces) are to take the DMHTT precautions, and avoid public or crowded places. Songkhla: Visitors from Samut Sakhon are to report to the local public health office, enter a 14-day home quarantine, and take the DMHTT precautions. Surveillance area (35 provinces)
| Northern Region (11 provinces) Chiang Mai: All visitors must register with the CM-Chana contact tracing application, and follow official instructions. Visitors from Samut Sakhon must also show official documents to prove their travel was necessary. They are to report to the local administration or public health office and enter a 14-day home quarantine. Visitors from Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan must also report to the local administration or public health office and enter a 14-day self-monitoring. Chiang Rai: Visitors from Samut Sakhon must show official documents to prove their travel was necessary and enter a 14-day home quarantine. Those who do not have official documents will be isolated in a local quarantine facility. Visitors from Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to register via the Chiang Rai Sawasdee and Thai Chana contact tracing applications. They are also required to enter a 14-day self-monitoring, take the DMHTT precautions, and avoid crowded places. Visitors from the controlled, high surveillance and surveillance areas are to register via the Chiang Rai Sawasdee and Thai Chana contact tracing applications, self-observe their health, and take the DMHTT precautions. Lampang: Returning residents who have been to at-risk areas are required to enter a 14-day self-quarantine. They are also required to register with the Lampang Chana contact tracing application and follow the advice from the local public health authorities. Returning residents from Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan must show official documents to prove their travel was necessary. Visitors from Samut Sakhon, Rayong, Chon Buri, Bangkok (Bang Phlat, Bangkok Noi or high controlled districts) are required to report to the local administration or public health office, and enter a 14-day home quarantine. Mae Hong Son: All visitors are required to register with the Sawasdee Mae Hong Son local contact tracing application and enter a health screening system. Hospital treatment, local quarantine, or home quarantine will be required depending on the individual’s health status. All visitors who have been to at-risk areas are required to undergo health screening and comply with disease control measures including enter a 14-day hospital quarantine. Resident visitors who have been to other provinces with known infections are required to report to the local administration or public health office and enter a 14-day self-quarantine. Nan: Visitors from Samut Sakhon must enter a 14-day home quarantine. Visitors from Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan must enter a 14-day self-monitoring, and report to village health volunteers every 3 days. | Northeastern Region (17 provinces) Amnat Charoen: Visitors from Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan are to report to the local administration or public health office and enter a 14-day home quarantine. Visitors from other provinces are required to report to the local administration, public health office, or village health volunteers. Returning residents from overseas who have completed the 14-day state quarantine are to report to the local administration or public health office and enter a 14-day self-monitor. | Southern Region (7 provinces) Krabi: Visitors from Samut Sakhon are required to register with the QT14 and Mor Chana contact tracing applications and must show official documents to prove their travel was necessary. In addition, they are required to enter a 14-day home quarantine. Visitors from the other 76 provinces are to register with the QT14 and Mor Chana contact tracing applications, but do not need to enter quarantine. Nakhon Si Thammarat: Visitors from Samut Sakhon are to report to the local administration or public health office, and enter a 14-day home quarantine or local quarantine. Visitors from other areas are to report to the local administration or public health office, enter a 14-day self-monitoring, take the DMHTT precautions, and avoid crowded places.
