The cabinet on Tuesday (April 7) decided that schools can reopen from July 1 instead of May 16 as per the academic year, The Nation reported.
A government spokesman said the cabinet acknowledged that the first semester of the 2020 academic year will have to be adjusted and schools can start the semester on July 1 instead of May 16 as proposed by the Education Ministry.
