The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to provide a summary of the entry and exit rules at each of the country’s 77 provinces, following the Royal Thai Government’s announcement on easing of the COVID-19 control measures in most areas nationwide as of 1 February, 2021.
The target is to welcome 100-300 visitors a week, or up to 1,200 people a month, and generate income of about 1 billion baht a month.
Starting September 7, travelers with long-term passes coming from the Philippines, Indonesia, and India will not be allowed to enter the Southeast Asian country.
This notification shall be effective from 1 July B.E. 2563 (2020), 00:01 Thailand local time onwards.
The new public announcement does not mention insurance.
Travellers to Thailand have to now show authorities a health certificate, issued no more than 72 hours before travelling, confirming that they have been tested and are free from the virus. They must also present an insurance policy showing minimum coverage for coronavirus of not less than US$100,000.
Airport operation shall be limited to outgoing flights carrying foreigners and tourists. Filipinos are not allowed to go outside the country
Kuwait had suspended all its flights to and from Iraq over fears about the coronavirus.
