Thailand on Tuesday marked the 50th day of having no new COVID-19 local transmission, July 14.
All new found coronavirus cases are imported abroad by Thai repatriates or those in the state quarantine.
On Sunday, Sopon Iamsirithavorn, director of the Bureau of General Communicable Diseases said that the first wave of the Covid-19 outbreak in Thailand has ended as the country has reported zero local transmission of the disease for 48 consecutive days.
