Thailand is still going to expect isolated heavy rains across the upper regions while isolated thunderstorms are expected in the South, as reported by the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) on Sunday.
In a The Nation Thailand report, the forecast is from moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. “People in upper Thailand should be cautious of heavy rainfall and the risk of flash flooding and runoff, particularly near foothills, waterways, and low-lying areas”, the department reports. Farmers should take precautions to prevent crop damage.
Expect 1 to 2 meters high waves in the upper Andaman Sea and upper Gulf and higher in areas with thundershowers. Sea crafts and vessels are advised to proceed with caution and avoid sailing when deemed dangerous.
Tropical Storm “Wutip” over Guangxi, China, has now weakened into a tropical depression, said the TMD.
