Week long cultural performances to be held in Bangkok on the occasion of the Coronation of King Rama X

The Thai Government will hold cultural performances in Bangkok and 76 provinces for a week on May 22-28, 2019 as part of the celebration of King Rama X’s coronation.

In Bangkok, cultural performances will be at the stage near the Supreme Court and Thammasat University from 5:30 to 6:30 PM and at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground from 6:30 to 9:30 in the evening. Lights and sound presentation will follow from 9:30 to 11:00 PM. Thai TV Global will cover the opening event on the 22nd which can be viewed in 170 countries worldwide.

An International Performance Festival to be participated by performers from Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Vietnam will be held on the 27th of May.

Concluding the week-long event on the 28th will be a grand procession from four regions of the country with floral offerings, drum performances and cultural shows.
