Mr. Davin replaced Mr. Bijaya Rajabhandari in February as UNICEF Representative to Thailand.
The regional event brought together different stakeholders to discuss key challenges, gaps and opportunities to advance gender equality towards achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Besides Thailand, Acosta has performed in 50 cities in 29 countries in five continents including Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Nepal and India among others.
The two officials looked forward to greater cooperation between the Philippines and Thailand in areas of mutual concern.
The ASEAN Community will be officially established on December 31, 2015.
