The University of the Philippines (UP) and De La Salle University (DLSU) have been included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020 which was released on Thursday.
UP has broken into a London-based publication’s ranking of the top 500 schools in the world while DLSU is in the 1000+ group. It was UP’s first time to crack the top 401-500 of 1,396 universities.
In Thailand, Mae Fah Luang University and Mahidol University topped Thai tertiary institutions in a global survey. The two universities were grouped in the 601-800 band in the latest global rankings. Chulalongkorn University, Thailand’s most well-known premier university was the only one rated in the lower tier of the 801-1,000 group.

Meanwhile, National University of Singapore remained the reigning champion in Southeast Asia placing 25th globally.
