A Filipina saved the life of a girl who was drowning in Benchasiri Park near BTS Prompong this morning, October 7, 2016.
Known as Minerva West on her Facebook account, a pinay was jogging when she saw a girl she thought was just swimming in the pond. She then realized that swimming is prohibited so without hesitation she dived into the pond to save the girl.
“Kung hindi nya napuntahan yung bata eh sure na patay na yung bata,” said West’s friend.
An ambulance later came and the girl is now safe. They later found out that the child’s mother was away when the accident happened.
“Despite her phone getting drenched in the water, she didn’t hesitate to help,” her friend added.
