Kabayan Christopher Landicho, a recipient of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Scholarship in 2017 has been recognized by the Asia Pacific Luminare Awards in Manila.
Landicho, who graduated from Asian Institute of Technology in Pathum Thani will receive the award on March 31 in Manila. He is recognized for being an “Exemplary Educator of Caraga Region and Inspiring Youth Advocate of the Year 2021” for his advocacy in promoting quality education and youth development in his ministry.
“He makes a career and life out of helping young people. A professed young servant leader and promoting youth development in Caraga Region, Butuan City. He has served as a research fellow in graduate studies and consultant to local SMEs, universities and ministries. Despite this pandemic, he has been committed to share extra miles in rendering research services and knowledge in both government and private sector as well as being a public servant. As an Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Alumnus-School of Management and recipient of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Scholarship in Pathumthani, Thailand, he attributes the growth of the community in large part to his ministry, educating the youth, and including professionals in taking full vision and responsible role in their chosen field,” the citation reads.
“Receiving this award will also capture my love in education, youth service and innovation,” said Landicho.
This is the second award he will receive but first in an International Organization, his first award was on his hometown in Butuan City were he received the “Most Inspirational Butuanon of the Year 2019”.
Landicho hails from Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte. He completed his Master in Business Administration (BMA) at AIT School of Management in 2019.
