Three Filipino women were seriously injured when a pickup truck smashed the rear side of their parked car along Chonburi motorway shoulder lane to have a burst tyre fixed late Friday night July 24, 2015.
Sarah Loh Mae Pama, Monnaliza Kay Calinawan, and Mae Dumaguin were rushed to Chularat 11 Hospital and Bang Pakong Hospital by highway rescuers.
The three, along with a male Filipino friend Keith Naringahon, were bound to Rayong from Suphanburi. As they passed along Chonburi motorway near Km 47 mark, the tyre of their Honda Civic car burst compelling the driver to park on the motorway shoulder to have the tyre replaced.
A good Thai passing by stopped to offer help. As Keith walked towards the man’s car to get traffic signs to warn coming vehicles, an unaware pickup truck came close at high speed and smashed into the rear right side of the Honda car injuring the three ladies standing near. The pickup driver is safe but in a state of shock.
