Aida Panchamnong, a pillar in the community passes away at 70

Mrs. Adelaida “Aida” Par Panchamnong, an esteemed leader and pillar in the Filipino community in Thailand passed away early morning on Friday, October 16 after two years of battle with colon cancer. She was 70 years old.

She is survived by her son and grandchildren. Her Thai husband died years ago.

Mrs Panchamnong hailed in Cotabato. She was a licensed civil engineer in the Philippines. In Thailand, she worked as a university lecturer at Assumption University.

Mrs Panchamnong lived in Thailand for 45 years. Most of those years were spent in service to Filipinos in need in all walks of life. She particularly became involved and dedicated herself in community events organized by the Philippine Embassy and several Filipino organizations in the Kingdom.

Determined as she always was, Aida stood up for ordinary Filipinos and always fought for what is right long before the dawn of social media.

Tributes have been pouring in from many people she helped. A testament to her kind and helpful heart is an army of friends who stayed true to her up to the very end.

Here is the schedule of Mrs Panchamnong’s funeral service and cremation.
