Bangpakok Group waives more than 100,000 THB hospital bills of stranded OFW, newborn in Bangkok

Over 150,000 THB discount was given to kabayan Claret Ann Estoesta who gave birth prematurely in Bangkok. Thanks to Bangpakok Hospital for only charging just 52,000 THB from the total bill 165,000 THB after learning about her situation.

Kabayan Claret Ann Estoesta, a domestic helper in UAE, unexpectedly gave birth while completing her quarantine after testing positive to COVID-19 upon arrival in Bangkok on July 13.

Estoesta was admitted at Bangpakok Hospital, a sister company of Piyavate Hospital where a number of Filipino health personnel work. Kabayan Claret was also luckily assisted by Filipino staff who asked help from the hospital owners to reduce her hospital bills.

Claret and her baby have already been discharged from the hospital and are now staying in a hostel in Sukhumvit through the help of kabayan Joan Cats who also helped in raising funds. They are given free accommodation and food while recuperating and waiting for their flight back to the Philippines.

A total of 81,000 THB was collected through kabayan Jesse Catolico and Ma Josefa Alberto. A lot of baby stuff was also donated for the baby boy. The amount was used to pay the hospital bill and the rest was handed to Claret.

Kudos to kababayan Josefa, Jesse, Joan, King Rangel of Piyavate Hospital and everyone who helped financially, in kind and through prayers.
