BBM-Sara tandem voted by most Filipinos in Thailand

Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos Jr. and vice-presidential candidate Sara Duterte-Carpio both got the highest votes from the recently concluded Overseas Absentee Voting in Thailand.

With 4,554 and 4,752 votes respectively, Marcos Jr. and Duterte-Carpio are the preferred president and vice-president respectively by most Filipino voters in Thailand. Both are from the UniTeam slate.

Their rivals are Leni Robredo with 1,388 votes for the presidential race, and Kiko Pangilinan with 1,171 votes for the vice-presidential race.

Registered Filipino voters in Thailand cast their votes from April 9 to May 9, some through snail mail while others spent a day voting personally in the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok.

There are 10,793 registered Filipino voters in Thailand as per COMELEC’s Certified List of Overseas Voters (Landbased), but only 6,319 participated in the poll, a 58.55 percent turnout. This is practically similar to the 58% voter turnout last May 2016 Philippine national elections where Bongbong Marcos Jr. got 1,284 while Leni Robredo had 615 respectively for the vice-presidential race.

The following are the official results from the recently concluded 2022 Philippine national elections for OAV in Thailand.
