A public lecture on “Sexism in the Filipino Language” will be held at Chulalongkorn University on March 12, 2020.
The event is a project of Bachelor of Arts in Language and Culture (BALAC) under Faculty of Arts in collaboration with the Department of Linguistics and Research and Academic Development Section.
Assistant Professor Jayson de Guzman Petras of the University of the Philippines Diliman will give the lecture.
Thai-Filipino Khun Verita Erpe Sriratana, a professor at the Department of English is spearheading the project which she hopes would lead to the establishment of Filipino Studies Section in the country’s premier university.
